​​Q:   What proof do I need to submit with my application for full membership?

 

A:   You MUST provide a form DD-214 (Member 4)/215 showing your combat service, or other official documentation verifying a combat award.

Q:   What if I don't have a DD-214 (Member 4)/215, or mine is inaccurate?

​

A:   You can request a current copy of your service records through the National Archives website.

 

​​​​Q:   I want to become a Supporter, but I do not have a sponsor.  What do I do?

​

A:   Don't hesitate to express your interest in becoming a member.  Contact us then get to know Full Members by attending 18-8 meetings and events. 

​​

Q:   Do I have to own a motorcycle to be a member?

​

A:   Yes.  You must own and be licensed to operate a motorcycle 500cc or larger and will be required to provide proof of valid registration and insurance.

Q:   How much does it cost to join CVMA®?

​

A:   National dues for Full Members are $20 per year, and $10 for both Supporter and Auxiliary members, and nominal chapter dues are also paid annually.

Q:   Once my application is approved, when will I get my patch?

​

A:   Once the application process is completed, 18-8 leadership will coordinate your patching-in with you. The ceremony will most likely occur during the next scheduled 18-8 meeting or event following the approval of your application.

Q:   Where can I find the application for CVMA® membership?

​

A:    Email our chapter Secretary to request a membership application.

​

Q:   How long will it take to process my application?

​

A:   Times may vary, but applications are typically processed within 30 days.

​

Q:   I'm already a CVMA® member; how do I transfer my membership to 18-8?

​

A:   Contact your current State Representative to initiate the transfer process.
